SUMMARY: In this book summary of the book "LOVE STORY OF COMMANDO" I am adding a brief summary of this book. This book is one of the good plots I have ever read. Staring with A SOLDIER'S LETTER.

Do you really have control over how you feel for somebody? Can we stop ourselves from falling for someone, even if we know he's just not right and means only trouble? 

The story starts with the introduction of a girl, Riya, and then all the story continues in her memoirs. Riya is a millennial who watches Splitsvilla, worships, David Guetta, sways to Ed Shreen tunes... She was not aware of passion, courage, gallantry, sacrifice for the loved ones, and the love- until the day she meets CAPTAIN VIRAT. 

Captain Virat, the first time he met with Riya in an art exhibition. He was there to buy some paintings for his unit's officers' mess. He is a black cat commando of India's elite counter-insurgency special forces unit, NSG. He is as trained swift, sharp, lethal, and dark soldier as the special name given to NSG. 

When he met Riya he was a captain in the Indian Army. Riya helped him in choosing some paintings. After the day when Virat was leaving, he took Riya's cell phone number to call her later. 

But here the thing, Virat never called her. Riya was regretting that why she didn't take his contact number. She was very badly missing him but somehow she managed to forget him and after she finished college and had been started his job and now she is living in Mumbai. 

After years, it was an evening of year 26 November 2008, Riya was in a mood of celebration in Taj Hotel, Mumbai. When an unfortunate event happened. Taj was under a terrorist attack. All around bloodshed and noise of firing, Riya was feeling unconscious and about to fall off the building when a hand grabbed her and pulled her back. The moment she opened her eyes, it was Captain Virat in his Black NSG uniform. 

Riya showed her anger and pulled herself out of his arms, but Virat pulled her back and told her about the scene and asked her to follow him. Riya was getting emotional at this moment. They kissed each other and Riya hugged him tightly. Under firing and crying, Virat took her out where other people were gathered. 

When Virat was leaving to enter the Hotel again to rescue others, Riya grabbed him from behind and asked her not to go. Virat promised her that he would come back.

He has trained across the globe and wrangled with many dangerous situations. There's nothing he cannot handle- except his own demons.

Riya returned to her place. She had lost Virat again. All the memories of the Taj incident and that of Virat, and his promises got imprinted in her subconscious and she couldn't take them about. 

Finally, she decided to quit his job and she joined an NGO, which provides free education to the children from the valley in Jammu Kashmir. She moved to Kashmir and started teaching in the school. Away from all the past and in the Peace of Kashmir, she was trying to overcome all the bad memories. 

But the peace was short. There was a visit by the Prime Minister in Kashmir and he also wanted to visit the school. Riya and the staff made all preparations. 

Finally the day of the visit, Riya was standing at the main entrance where she was supposed to present the greetings and flowers to the PM. 

The chopper of PM arrived and a bunch of NSG commandos came down of it. They all had have covered their faces. Riya observed them but she was avoiding and hoping that Virat would not be in them. 

PM was moving towards the main building suddenly they heard a strong explosion in the building and all started running randomly. As soon as Riya moved towards the building someone grabbed her hand from the behind and stopped her. He tried to convince her not to go there. Riya, when she saw he was Virat she started making more efforts to ran away from him, but she couldn't. Finally, Virat put her into his jeep and took her away from the site for in the forest area. 

There he tried hard to convince her about the past incidents, Why he left her told her the circumstances. One thing he told her that as a commando he doesn't know when he will lose his life so he was running away from any commitment to make with Riya. For her happiness, he had to keep himself away from Riya but it was also hard for him to Make distances with her. All the scene was emotional and somehow he could have convinced her. 

Then he went to bring some water from a nearby river and Riya went with him. Without any navigation and in the darkness of night unintentionally they crossed into the Enemy territory. 

Virat killed two terrorists there. They spent all their night in the cover of a big rock. Hugged each other, crying and kissing they were making promises to live together. 

All night went and Virat when last contacted with his unit they were on their way to took both of them out.

When they meet them then actually Virat got to know that they were in enemy territory. 

Then he started moving out of the place. On their way, they took a hard decision to destroy a hideout of terrorists near the border. After successful operation under the firing of Pakistan. They somehow managed to cross in India. 

All were exhausted and admitted to the hospital. After few days when Riya opened her eyes, she felt a strong pain in her heart. She didn't want to lose Virat again. She got out the bed and ran all the way in the corridor and was checking every room. Finally, she saw Virat was in one of the rooms. 

She went inside and sit beside him. Captain Virat promised her for a happy life ahead and they planned for a trip to Paris after their marriage. 

The story is happily ended here. Virat and Riya are married now and they are enjoying their holidays in Paris.

Full of excitement, romance, adventures, guts, goosebumps, and a military action this book is loved by both those who like military stories and those who like love stories. Starting from the title LOVE STORY OF A COMMANDO which pulls interest of the readers this plot presents the same as imagined by the readers before picking this book. Few things which I feel are far away from reality but creating the scenes of the Taj Palace incident the author tried to present the story more realistically. If you love a soldier you will have to sacrifice a lot of things, you will have to suffer the things, you will have to feel that distances. 

from a reader's view, this book is a good choice to read.
